RadTest Australia would like to assist all Victorian clients by providing an update regarding recent changes with the Vic Department of Health (DofH) Radiation Safety Section.
Please see below information, correct as of December 2025 –
The department no longer accepts notifications of acquisition, disposal or relocation via the online smart forms.
A new licensing portal has been implemented for the administration of radiation management licences.
You now need to register on the licensing portal and resubmit your notification of acquisition, disposal or relocation.
Functions within the portal to manage a radiation management licence include:
- Renewing a licence.
- Downloading a copy of a licence
- Updating contact details
- Submitting applications to vary a licence, and
- Notifying the details of any equipment/radiation source acquisitions, disposals, relocations or changes.
Radiation Management Licences
How do I register on the portal for the first time?
Step 1. Please register on the portal https://licensing.health.vic.gov.au/, click ‘Sign Up’ underneath the ‘Sign In’ button. You can use either an individual or company email address. Email addresses must be in lower case. You will then be sent a ‘Welcome’ email to the email address.
Step 2. Verify your email address by clicking on the button in the ‘Welcome’ email
Step 3. Log in to the DH licensing portal and complete your profile
Step 4. Once your profile is complete, you can email us with your account details (email address) so we can add you as an authorised contact for the management licence.
